Throughout the PADI Open Water Diver Course in Cyprus, you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment handling, safety procedures and techniques. You will also earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification that is recognized worldwide.
You earn this rating by completing five pool or confine water dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water dives in the sea.
As a certified PADI Open Water Diver you have the freedom to dive with your buddy without a PADI Professional to the max depth of 18m.
Your underwater adventure can begin as soon as today with the new PADI eLearning! You can view these materials at home, at your own pace and then meet with an instructor for further assistance. PADI Open Water learning options also include group or private instruction.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
This course offers tremendous flexibility and lets you work out individual needs with your instructor. Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification.
At some point in the course, your PADI Instructor will ask you to demonstrate the ability to swim 200 meters/yards without swim aids or 300 meters/yards with mask, fins and snorkel and complete a bit of paperwork, to get you on your way.
The Scuba Gear You Use
All the scuba equipment you will need is included. You’ll use all the basic scuba gear including a mask, snorkel and fins, a buoyancy compensating jacket that also carries your scuba tank, a scuba regulator to breathe from and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply during the dive. You might also wear a scuba wetsuit and a weight system. Price: €475 all-inclusive.

Duration:
- 2-3 days with eLearning online theory
- 3-4 days with classroom approach
- Course is performance based, not time based.

- 5 session in shallow water to learn basic scuba skills
- 4 open water training dives to practice your skills and explore!
After certification: Depth limit 18m (Junior 12m)
If you complete the half of the course you can earn PADI Scuba Diver – depth limit 12m and must dive with a professional.
